The PPGEP was established in 2015 to address current and future demands for national, regional, and local development by training professionals capable of solving complex problems. The program is tuition-free, and classes are held in the evening to accommodate working professionals.
In Volta Redonda, the educational network offers everything from basic education to postgraduate studies, including numerous university courses and specialized technical training in mechanics and metallurgy. The city plays a key role in supporting university students and industrial workers in the region.
The demand for professionals skilled in research and technological development has been increasing. Graduates from various undergraduate programs, particularly Production Engineering, seek the PPGEP to enhance their expertise and meet the demands of their workplaces.
The program features an experienced faculty and emphasizes strengthening the relationship between the university and society, particularly within key economic sectors. This connection is a central focus of the program’s strategic planning.
Given UFF’s academic prominence, the Professional Master’s Program is considered to have a national impact, attracting students and fostering collaborations with companies across the country. In line with this perspective, the current professional environment promotes continuous development by training skilled professionals capable of solving problems through innovative practices.
